The Southeast Asia Chamberfest returns for its third edition—this time in Singapore!

Following successful festivals in Penang (2024) and Kulai (2025), Chamberfest 2026 continues to bring together talented young musicians aged 13–21 from across the region for an intensive week of chamber music at the National University of Singapore, from 16–20 December 2026, in collaboration with NUS Centre for the Arts.

This year’s programme journeys from intimate chamber groups to the expanded forces of chamber orchestra, featuring Telemann’s Double Viola Concerto and Vaughan Williams’ beloved Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. True to the Chamberfest spirit, all soloists—including the solo string quartet in the Fantasia—will be selected from among the festival participants.

The week concludes with a Gala Concert at the NUS-Yale Performance Hall on 20 December 2026.

​​​​Festival application regulation

  1. Applicants must be aged between 13 and 21 by 1 December 2026.

  2. Performance proficiency on applicant’s instrument must be at least ABRSM grade 8 or equivalent.

  3. Applicants must submit an unedited video of themselves performing a solo repertoire of 4-5 minutes. Piano accompaniment is optional.

  4. Applicants must submit an unedited video recording in their own speaking voice, to introduce themselves as well as the repertoire in the other recording they have submitted. Applicants should share what they would like to achieve from their participation at the SEA Chamberfest.
    Video should not be more than 2 minutes long.

  5. General application due date: 30th September 2026
    Early Bird application due date: 15th September 2026

  6. Admission into the festival will be notified by 15th October 2026.


Participation Fee 

  • General fee: SGD580.00 per participant

  • Early Bird fee: SGD520.00 per participant

  • Fee includes: 
    - 4-day chamber music and chamber orchestra coaching. Performance on day 5.
    - Participation to all Chamberfest Workshops.
    - Daily light snacks and refreshment.

  • Fee does not include accommodation, meals and travel costs.

  • Participation fee invoice will be issued with admission notification.
