FU WEI HAO

Workshop Clinician

Weihao is a music educator and piano accompanist based in Singapore. He
graduated in 2016 from The Royal College of Music in London with Bachelor of
Music (Honours), having studied both as a piano soloist and collaborator, under
the tutelage of Ashley Wass, Andrew Ball and Simon Lepper.

His collaborative work with numerous students and professional musicians has
led him to observe a necessity to incorporate teachings of communicative skills
into music expression, character-building, and developing rapport within music
ensembles. These skills stemmed from his training with Mrs. McCully at the Juliet
McCully School of Language & Communications, through which he attained the
Associate Diploma of the London College of Music in Public Speaking (ALCM) in
2008.

Combining his understandings of music and public speaking, he also grew his
passion in classical singing, exploring word painting and poetry. During his
studies at the Royal College of Music, he received vocal training with Sally
Burgess and was awarded choral scholarships from the Wimbledon Choral
Society and St-Martin-In-The-Fields. One of six finalists at the Courtney Kenny
Award 2015 (English Song Competition), he was described by the judges as a
“sensitive, sincere, and heartfelt” performer.
