Born in Penang, Yvonne pursued her Bachelors Degree at the Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (Singapore) with Ng Yu-Ying and continued her Masters Degree at Lynn Conservatory of Music (USA) with Carol Cole where she was awarded full scholarship for both programmes.

Throughout her music studies, Yvonne has had the opportunity to perform in masterclasses by Takács Quartet, Julliard String Quartet, and Miró Quartet among others. Together with her quartet at the Lynn Conservatory, they were the prizewinners in the 2015 Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York Chamber Competition at Lynn Conservatory and were featured in the Mainly Mozart Festival in its 2016 Season.

Yvonne is currently based in Singapore as a member of the Forte Musicademy Strings Faculty while also performing actively with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Singapore Lyric Opera, and the Orchestra of the Music Makers.
